What you Can do to Help!

GARDA is entirely a volunteer organization and thanks to the generous contributions from our supporters, we are able to purchase necessary equipment, and continue training to strengthen our team.

The IRS has determined GARDA to be a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Organization. Any contributions to GARDA are tax deductible. Please consider making a tax deductible monetary donation to GARDA. Volunteer organizations are often in need of equipment and can miss out on advanced training sessions due to the costs of travel and seminars. There are several ways for you to help us to improve our team, you can:

Make a Donation:

Monetary donations, unless specifically directed, go towards covering the ongoing expenses of our search and rescue organization which include: 2-way radios, pagers and subscriptions, mapping software, water search equipment, survival equipment, SAR oriented educational courses, overhead expenses, and other search and rescue related items for training, testing and advancement of our group. Monetary donations can be made out to GARDA and sent to the address listed below:

Georgia Rescue Dog Association, Inc.

331 Wiley Court,
Marietta, GA 30060

Donate an Asset or Service:

In addition to welcoming monetary donations, GARDA welcomes donations of equipment such as HAM radio equipment, outdoor gear, boating gear, GPS's, navigational gear, laptop computers and portable printers, digital cameras and camcorders, veterinary assistance, and associated equipment. If you are an outdoor gear manufacturer or a pet product manufacturer and have new equipment or products that you would like tested, GARDA will gladly accept gear donations and give feedback on the performance of your products in the field. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding donations of any kind. Also please check our needed equipment link, which details other equipment that we need to procure for our team. Any and all sponsorships and donations will be honored on our Sponsors Page. Your donations make a difference and help us to save lives.

Donate Yourself!

In the training or our area search and trailing dogs, we often need victims! During these exercises we hide our victims in the woods or in buildings for our dog and handler teams to find. This is a great opportunity to learn more about search and rescue and how the dogs work for people of all ages. It is a lot of fun too, because you get to be found by a very happy search dog and can spend some quite time in the woods while you await your rescue. If you or someone you know are interested in posing as a victim for one of our training sessions, please send us an E-Mail and we will contact you at our earliest possible convenience.
